曲紹介
前回に引き続き Taking Back Sunday の1stアルバム Tell All Your Friends から和訳します。3曲目の Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team) です。タイトルから拗らせみがあってとても良いですね。
あとこの曲はMV全体ががっつりと映画「Fight Club」のパロディになっていて、知っていると凄く楽しめます。[verse1]の歌詞の雰囲気なんかは映画に通じるところがなくはないです。よかったら観てみてくださいな(今日久々にyoutube版を聴いてみたら、'gun'とかのワードが検閲されていてちょっと萎えたけれど)。

感想
angelとかprincessとかの皮肉っぽい訳し方が思いつかなかった。というか全体的に直訳じゃ意味不明だった為、意訳が多くなってしまったので間違っていたら指摘いただきたい。You Know How I Do もそうだったけど [bridge1]以降エモみが本領発揮してきて最高。とはいえ、この歌詞英語だから気持ちいいんだけどもし日本語だったらと考えると相当気持ち悪いよね。不思議。
